Maybelline Lip Polish Glam 2 Glam 5 Review

Maybelline Lip Polishes have spoiled me completely with their amazing texture and phenomenal new colours.  Today I’m reviewing two of my most reached colours in the past one month.

Shade – Maybelline Lip Polish Glam 2 is a luscious coral which has a very sorbet like effect. This has a micro shimmer which is not visible in person, but just adds to the overall shine finish.

Maybelline Lip Polish Glam 5 is a very beautiful purplish pink that looks gives me a My Lips But Better effect.  The colour looks far more purple pink in the tube but goes on very natural on my pigmented lips.  Like Glam 2 there is a micro shimmer but that’s again visible only in the close up pictures.

Texture and Formula – The only word I can think of to describe these is “cushiony”.  They feel really soft on the lips and are not at all sticky or tacky at all.  I would normally expect colours that last long to be more sticky but in this case they feel much more natural on the lips. The colour stays fresh right to the end and there is no settling into fine lines or feather at the edges.  Pigmentation – Maybelline Lip Polish Glam 2 is a little bit on the sheer side but I love the effect – juicy and fun.  It does build up nicely when you swipe on a couple of times more.

Maybelline Lip Polish Glam 5 is far more pigmented than Glam 2 and covers my lips nicely in just one swipe.  The effect is a little more opaque and creamy than the jelly like finish of Glam 2

Staying Power – Maybelline does not claim that these will be long last, however I do find that they stay on for over 3 to 4 hours on without much wear.  However it does completely wear off if I eat or drink something whilst wearing this. The packaging is also very compact and cool so I really don’t mind pulling out and reapplying this whenever needed.

Overall Thoughts

I have been wearing Maybelline Lip Polish a lot and my new go to lip colours for almost any look.  When in doubt I invariably pull out Glam 5 to wear.  It normally stays in my handbag so I can wear it often and with any kind of outfit.
