Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer Review

There are some products that become cult favourite of people around the world. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer is one such product. I used to see international Youtubers rave about it and always wondered if the brand would ever launch them in India. This month that wish came true and maybelline launched this famous concealer in Indian market.

This super-concentrated treatment concealer features a micro-corrector applicator to help instantly erase dark circles and fine lines. Infused with goji berry and Haloxyl.

Packaging is interesting. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer comes in a transparent tube with twist up mechanism, the sponge tip dispenses the product. I like how it applies the concealer easily despite of being fat. The clear cap prevents it from dirt accumulation. Clear tube lets you see how much product is still left and if you need a backup.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer Swatches – Medium, Honey , Neutraliser

Shades – The concealer is available in 4 shades – Light, medium, neutraliser & honey. I have last three. Medium is yellow toned concealer suitable for fair to medium complexions, for me it will work as a highlighting concealer. Neutraliser is a yellow corrector / brightener. Honey is pink toned concealer , I thought this would be dark shade but it isn’t a match for me. Sadly none of the shades would suit deeper complexions and can only be used for highlighting purposes.

Texture & Formula – Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer has a thin texture, that blends into the skin almost effortlessly. I have dry skin and there is no need to set it with powder. However if you have oily skin , you might want to set it with a loose powder. It doesn’t crease or settle in fine lines which i what i like the most. The under eye area looks brighter instantly making it good for everyday.

The coverage is medium so you either have to layer it or use a concealer matching to your complexion underneath.

Staying Power – The concealer stays on for good 6+ hours on me without creasing or drying.

Overall Thoughts 

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer is an everyday product that is easy to use and stays put for a long time. The texture is light and doesn’t crease under the eyes. It also has certain ingredients that treat dark circles over a period of time, which I can comment on at the moment, I might have to keep using it to see the difference. Limited shade range is definitely a con for me.
