Maybelline Hyper Glossy Lazer Green Liquid Liner Review

I love liquid liners. At times I love those even more than my gel liners. I always run late so the makeup chapter in my life is quite a hurried up process, which is why liners that take too much time, precision and maintenance are not my thing. Having said that, I must also confess that L’Oreal and Maybelline gel liners are my absolute favourites because when I am not in a hurry, those are my saviors. I am good with very thin brushes, thus Maybelline Hyper Glossy Lazer Green is my next best thing.

Packaging – These liners come in a conical bottle that looks really cute, but unfortunately 1/3^rd of the packaging is just a black shiny cap! The remaining part of the bottle is colour coded with brand and product name written on it in silver. At the bottom there is a sticker with the shade name and mfg-exp dates.

Shade – Lazer green is a brilliant, electric dragon green that almost looks duo-chrome from different angles. Sometimes it appears peacock green, other times it is a greenish turquoise. It is a gorgeous shade and a thin line of it on the lids jazzes up a simple look.

Texture-These are liquid but not too runny that it will spill or drip from the brushes. It is the perfect consistency and hence can be applied easily. The brush is thin and good quality.

Pigmentation & Finish– Maybelline Hyper Glossy Lazer Green requires single coat, however I apply 2 coats to bring out the full intensity of the colour. The liner dries in about half a minute. After which it impart a striking shine that is not glossy in exact terms but is metallic. The finish is smudgeproof.

Staying Power –  It stays on me for about 3-4 hours. The only problem is while it starts to fade away it flakes off and does not fade evenly. My oily lids do not hamper the staying power but only if I ever rub my eyes after 3-4 hours of application, I see small flakes have transferred on my hand. When I remove it off with micellar lotion, it flakes off but does not leave any stain behind. In other words it is quite easy to remove.

Overall Thoughts

I love Maybelline Hyper Glossy Lazer Green Liquid Liner, starting from the colours, the price tag, the metallic finish and the wear time these are bang on for me! I already have one in gold and am eyeing another shade which is a metallic royal blue. Go ahead and try one of these liners and I am sure you will never regret it.
