We all know about Maybelline Fit Me range that is one the recent launches in India. Shade range was disappointing, however since I love to burn a hole in my pocket, I picked the entire range. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation was launched in Matte & Poreless variant which wasn’t a perfect formula for me. Though the Maybelline Fit Me Set + Smooth Pressed Powder is formulated for Normal To Dry Skin so I picked it.
Packaging – Simple square case which resembles a box. It has product in one compartment and Powder puff in second compartment, that has a mirror as well.
Shade – As the shade range is pretty limited (only 4 shades) I picked the darkest one – Sun Beige 310, which is still way too light.
Texture & Formula – Maybelline Fit Me Set + Smooth Pressed Powder has a light texture which is finely milled. I am quite impressed with the finish which doesn’t look powdery or cakey. Only and biggest downside is the shimmer particles, yes silver shimmers in pressed powder. When I applied it for the first time, I thought my brush has blush residue on it. But upon looking closely in the pan, I could see silver shimmers, which wasn’t visible when I swatched it in the store or I wouldn’t have picked it at all.
If you are fine with shimmer in setting powder, then give this one a try.
Coverage – Powder offers light coverage, which makes it a good makeup setting powder. You can also use it to set under eye concealer , because it shimmer particles will reflect light and brighten up the area. That’s what I am using it for.
The formula is meant for normal to dry skin hence it doesn’t highlight dry patches or turn cakey on the face. I generally go very light handed when it comes to powder application in any case. I would have appreciated more darker shades though.

Overall Thoughts
Maybelline Fit Me Set + Smooth Pressed Powder is finely milled formula, which doesn’t look powdery and blends into the skin. It offers light coverage and is perfect for setting makeup. Though I dislike the presence of shimmer in the powder, its absolutely unnecessary in my opinion.

All the shades looked the same to me at the store ! Shade 310 in the foundation is a good match for me, maybe this powder might also work for me.

Can’t understand why it has shimmer. In the pan the shade looks darker, but in the swatch it is rather mild. Is it really like that?
