Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Waterproof Mascara Review

With monsoons and wedding season round the corner investing in water proof mascara is a must. I personally love Maybelline mascara’s range as they are budget friendly and have amazing quality as well. If there is one makeup necessity that can complete make you look awake , it’s a good mascara . Colossal Volum Express Waterproof Mascara comes in two variants – water proof and non water proof version. I picked up the water proof version.

Packaging – I have always been a fan of Maybelline’s colossal range bright yellow packaging. It comes in fat yellow tube with the details printed on it with teal blue color font which quite compliments the yellow color. Overall this particular mascara tube looks quite attractive in my mascara makeup stash as it has bright color.

The Mascara – Earlier I was intimidated before purchasing a waterproof mascara. As I have always heard people saying  that a water proof mascara needs loads of effort while taking it off and it may be harsh for sensitive eyes. But as no body is a big fan of the look which non water proof mascara can give if you have teary eyes [you know what I mean].

Coming to the mascara, Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Waterproof Mascara has a thick wand and bristles are quite even. I can apply mascara easily on my upper lashes with this wand but however I prefer a slightly sleek wand for lower lashes. It’s quite thick applying this mascara on lower lashes can be a task. Once I applied this mascara it did provide my lashes a voluminous look , however not like 7x times as what it claims.

As it’s a waterproof version, the formula is a bit drying but in order to add more strokes of mascara one needs to be quite quick as it sets fast. One thing I absolutely adored about this mascara is that it dint form any clumps to my lashes and neither did it make my lashes quite stiff. Coming to the removal part, Colossal Volum Express Waterproof Mascara survived tears and my eyes dint felt uncomfortable at all. Also I easily removed this mascara with Johnson’s baby oil and I dint experience any shedding of my precious lashes while removing.

Overall Thoughts

Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Waterproof Mascara has been my go to mascara for rainy days. As it does provide your lashes a voluminous feel and also one need not worry about mascara being spreading all over as its waterproof. It’s a budget friendly long wearing amazing mascara  only downside is the thick wand which makes application on lower lashes a bit tough.

PS- Please be gentle while taking off the mascara, one can use baby or olive oil for removing it.
