Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks – Orange Icon, Fuchsia Fantasy

In continuation to the reviews of Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Range, here I am back with two more shades. Like I mentioned in my previous review, the formula of these lipsticks varies. You can check out the Swatches Of Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks and also the Review Of Crushed Candy & Cherry Crush.

Shades – Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks Orange Icon is a creamy orange shade, that surprisingly looks pretty good on me. Believe me when I bought it first I knew in my heart that I would never be wearing it, but now I am in love with the shade. It brightens up my complexion. Fuchsia Fantasy on the other hand is a Berry-fuchsia color, bit similar to MAC Rebel, though this one has more pink tones that Rebel. Fuchsia Fantasy has purple shimmers, though they don’t look weird upon application and blend in with the color.Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks Orange Icon, Fuchsia Fantasy SwatchesTexture & Formula – Maybelline Color Show Orange Icon is a sheer creamy formula. It has nice cream finish. Formula is smooth and buttery and feels quite comfortable on lips. The color doesn’t settle into the fine lines of the lips and stays on without making lips dry.

Fuchsia Fantasy is a nice fuchsia-berry shade with purple sheen to it. Gladly it doesn’t look shimmery at all once you have it on your lips. Shade infact is apt for coming season/ weather. If you love wearing deep berry shades, this one would be perfect. I am sure that this will be my go to color soon. This one shade would look absolutely stunning on medium to deeper complexions.

Pigmentation – Orange Icon is sheer , it evens out lips, but doesn’t cover darkness. Fuchsia Fantasy on the other hand offers full coverage, in single swipe. Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks Orange Icon, Fuchsia FantasyStaying Power – Maybelline Color Show Fuchsia Fantasy stays on longer than Orange Icon. On me both stay on for good 3-5 hours.

Overall Thoughts

I am not sure if Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks are available in stores or not, but buying these online is a huge challenge. You can not guess the shades by just looking at those small square boxes. And so I have some hits and misses. These two shades – Orange Icon & Fuchsia Fantay are definitely some of my favorite shades after Cherry Crush. You love playing with colors and looks for affordable choice then do this range a try.

Ratings : Orange Icon 3.5/5, Fuchsia Fantasy : 4/5
