Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipstick (Rs 450)
So every time a brand launches a new range, I go crazy.. Until I get my hands on those products. Similar thing happened with me when I saw an advert in cosmopolitan magazine the other day about new satin silk foundation from Maybelline, which hasn’t hit the stores yet. And in my quest of finding it I came across this new lipstick range – Rebel Bouquet, which sounded quite fascinating, until I swatched the shades.
There are 6 shades in this range from bright pinks to oranges and reds.. I decided to play safe and picked a bright pink for me. Packaging is similar to Maybelline Matte range. It had a floral shrink wrap on it, which I thought is a print on the cap… *Sigh*
Shade – Maybelline Rebel Bouquet REB 10 is a bright pink color. Nothing new and you might already have similar shades in your stash from Maybelline’s previous launches. I was quit disappointed while swatching the lipsticks from this range since all of them were usual orange/red/pink shades, nothing exciting. I picked one just for the review purposes.
Texture & Formula – Glossy & Sheer is what would describe the formula of these lipsticks. With summers we all start looking out for bright, glossy & juicy shades and Rebel Bouquet lipsticks fit the bill perfectly. Formula is very creamy and moisturizing, and makes lips appear fuller. It loses its glossiness after a while and settles into a beautiful cream finish.
Pigmentation – Rebel Bouquet lipsticks are sheer to medium pigmented lipsticks. One can wear them as a sheer wash of color on the lips or layer up for an opaque finish. However, if you have uneven lip color this might not conceal them fully.
Staying Power – Glossy and juicy formulas are not great when it comes to staying on lips. Reb 10 fades after 3+ hours; its staying power depends on how much you munch throughout the time.
Overall Thoughts
If you love bright shades, do try out Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipstick range. There are some really fun colors ranging from pinks to reds. Sheer formulas are the best when you want to wear a bold shade without asking for attention. Formula is moisturizing and has an average staying power.

Even I go crazy when I see the new launch 😀 I skipped pink this time and got a reddish shade Reb 01:) This looks lovely on you…. You are right despite being a new launch same old boring shades…

Actually myself and 2 other bloggers were trying to find this in stores in Chennai a week back and we couldn’t find it. the SA s were clueless.. Then I heard it is available in nykaa.. will have to check it out..
