Maybelline BIG EYES Mascara promises a 360 degree false lash effect, complete with 2 completely different brushes. One for the top lashes, one for the bottom, to completely rim your eyes and pull out each and every little lash. I actually on being forced by my 10 year old cousin was in the store to buy the new ELECTRO POP Baby Lips for her, where I saw this big eyes mascara, which I hadn’t noticed on any of my previous visits, and as I get intrigued by Maybelline mascaras I wanted to pick this up for the fancy 2 wand concept. I  got mine in the waterproof version of it. Let’s read on to see what I found out when I actually unwrapped it.

Wands : I haven’t used a mascara specifically designed for the bottom lash line before, so that’s also part of the reason why I was so eager to purchase Maybelline BIG EYES Mascara! For me, this wand works best when just jiggling it side to side on the lashes . Though I find the application a little difficult as you actually have to hold *half of the mascara body* to apply one side. Kind of too thick and big to hold, when I am aiming for a detailed application.

Texture: The texture or formula of the mascara is more on the dry side, as I could assume, or maybe it is the winters that makes the formula appear dry. I am a person who likes mascara to be a wet formula, as in my opinion and personal experience, wet formula mascara tends to hold curls better.

Staying Power: well  for the staying power, on the top lashes did stay mascara coated for about 12 hours , after 8 hours the intensity did go down, but for the lower lashes I felt the staying time of 6 to 7 hours, maybe because of rubbing the eyes or water from the eyes, but somehow the lower lashes did not show up as much of longevity as the top lashes.

Overall Thought

I really love the purple and black packaging, and even more so the dual wand idea. I didn’t really see a whole lot of clumping, hyper curling, when I used this mascara, and all the photos are of the mascara with one to two coats on. I still prefer Maybelline The Falsies Mascara over this one, well any day they are real from benefit remains to be my absolute favourite.

Though the bottom lash wand of this mascara is a great dupe for Clinique’s bottom lash mascara, but I would say the Clinique shows up better, but for the price you pay for the Maybelline one, it definitely is a decent catch, but it’s claim of 360 degrees false lashes, doesn’t seem to be much acclaimed, though it wasn’t a ruining one.  In my final opinion get Maybelline BIG EYES Mascara for the bottom lash wand, the top lash wand isn’t the most innovative around the market, we have similar ones at a lesser price, but the lower lash is a good idea.

Nice review. I have also picked it due to dual wand thing. I too liked the lower wand but found the upper one to be just fine, nothing exceptional
