Shade – I got the shade natural as it has slight neutral undertones and it is really hard for me to get perfect match in Max Factor foundations. This one adjusts to my skin tone after 2-3 minutes of application. Almost all the foundations have pink tones. However, those having dusky skin or dark skin can look for shades as this range does have shades for darker tones. Packaging – Packaging is simple with a dull gold colored plastic body having a black cap. It has a pump dispenser which helps in controlling the amount needed. I definitely expect a little attractive packaging at this price tag but this is sturdy and travel friendly and the dispenser is quite receptive so no grudges.

Texture & Formula – The texture of this foundation is amazingly soft to touch. It is slightly like mousse which blends beautifully into the skin without any harsh lines.It is neither too thick nor runny in consistency and gives ample time for blending before it sets to a semi-matte finish. The formula is light weight and didn’t break me out. However, it isn’t completely transfer- proof unlike the Facefinity foundation. It does transfer a bit in hot/humid climate. I has serum in it which keeps my skin smooth, supple and hydrated.

Pigmentation – This foundation provides medium to buildable coverage without looking cakey as the texture is very airy. One layer will cover unevenness, redness, light pigmentation marks.Staying Power – Ageless Elixir stays for about 8-9 hours without any fading or budging but the staying power reduces to 6-7 hours in humid climate.

Overall Thoughts

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum  is another gem from Max Factor and I am really impressed by the finish and how it feels on skin.The foundation shade is neutral but matches my skin tone after minutes of application. It has floral fragrance which may be overpowering for some but it fades after 10-15 minutes of application. It provides semi matte finish and is suitable for all skin types. Also, it feels very light weight even after 3 layers providing medium to full coverage. But major skin problems (big acnes, scars) need proper concealing.

I can’t comment on its workability on wrinkles, fine lines but it is a great foundation that keeps the skin smooth and soft while providing coverage and spf 15.
