Makeup Studio Durable Lip Fluid & Gloss Review Swatches Photos

There are very few stores in India that stock Makeup Studio products and they are not available nline as yet. I found a dealer who supplies them to professional artists and I had to choose from catalogue only. I picked up Makeup Studio Durable Lip Fluid & Gloss shade no. 2 which is a lovely bright red color. This range has few color options only.

I am not sure if you people are aware of this brand called Makeup Studio. It is a professional makeup brand from Amsterdam and has been around for so many years. Like Kryolan, they also cater to the television and professional artists all over the world. They also have an academy for Makeup Artists In Delhi.I came across this brand when I was learning professional makeup and picked up few products. Compared to Kryolan, these are way too highly priced. Did they impress me? Read to know more.

About Makeup Studio Durable Lip Fluid & Gloss:

A series of waterproof, smudgeproof, kissproof lip fluids including pleasantly feeling gloss.

Packaging – It comes with a doe foot applicator. It has the lip color on one side and a clear gloss on the other side. Sadly, makeup studio products do not have proper names and most of them have codes or numbers only which keep changing as per the catalogue change which is quite confusing.

Shade – This shade looks bright orangey red during the day and indoors, it looks like a perfect deep red.

Texture & Formula – Makeup Studio Durable Lip Fluid & Gloss is well pigmented and has a creamy texture. It applies smoothly on the lips and feels comfortable. I have never found it drying or flaking after few hours also. It is advised to top it off with the clear gloss provided to increase the staying power and I always do that. It feels very comfortable on the lips. I have not experienced any dryness till date.

Without the gloss also, it looks very neat and matte, stays put for 4-5 hours and can survive food. Does not fade easily. But when topped with the gloss, initially it gives a shine and a glossy effect which subsides after few minutes and looks great.

Staying Power – The staying power is incredible. I don’t think any liquid lipstick stays that long. It stays put the whole day, I would say 24 hours. It is the longest staying liquid lipstick I have found till date.

I have to use an oil based makeup remover or cleaning milk 4-5 times to completely get rid of it. It claims that its waterproof and I totally agree that it does what it claims. It is highly waterproof , smudge proof and kiss proof.

On a serious note, while I love that its long lasting, I would not recommend it for daily use. It is highly pigmented and removing it is a pain and can cause damage as you will have to rub it so many times.

Overall Thoughts

If you love wearing liquid lipsticks that are super long lasting and non drying, Makeup Studio Durable Lip Fluid & Gloss is worth a pick for sure. The availability is a huge problem and also the shade selection is a bit confusing. The products are of great quality though.
