Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant Review Swatches Photos

I was never into highlighters until last year when I tried Makeup Revolution Radiant Light Glow. It is still my favourite subtle highlighter that works all the time whether its day or night! Since I always like Makeup Revolution products this time I picked couple more. I am planning to do a video on Top Affordable highlighters in India and this new highlighter fits the bill. Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick is an affordable dupe of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick. Lets read on to know more about the product –

Packaging is what you get for £3 . A plastic pan with a clear lid. Its good if you have more than one shade. However the flimsy packaging might break if not handled carefully.

Shade – I picked Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick in Radiant. It had gold tones that aren’t too yellow. I liked the look of it and after seeing swatches found it quite perfect for my complexion. There are 5 strips of colors in the pan, I use bottom 4 mostly. If your complexions is on the lighter side then top 2 strips should work perfectly. One can also swirl the brush in the pan and pick a blend of all the shades. These shimmer bricks are available in 2 shades – Radiant & Rose Gold.

Texture & Formula – One more thing that stops me from buying highlighters is the shimmery chunky formula. I don’t like chunky highlighters and steer clear of them. This one is so beautiful in terms of texture, has a smooth finely milled formula. Texture is buttery and you get a sheen on the cheeks instead of chunks of shimmers.

Formula is easy to apply and blend, very soft, there are chances of fall outs so make sure to tap off the excess before applying.

Pigmentation – All the above swatches are a result of one time swirl in the pan. I LOVE Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant for the smooth powder texture & superbly pigmented formula. You need to be careful while using it as going overboard is quite possible.

This is how Radiant looks on me ! I am so in love with the results, a beautiful sheen is all you get. Apply it under the blush if you want it to be more subtle.

Staying Power – Highlighter stays on for good 6+ hours on me without turning patchy.

Overall Thoughts

One of the best highlighters I have ever tried and quite affordable too. The texture  of Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant is so smooth & creamy that application as well as blending is like a dream. Highly recommended if you are trying to get a powder highlighter for yourself!
