Makeup Revolution has caused a stir in cosmetic industry by launching products that are budget dupes of high end products.Lip Lava is again considered to be a budget dupe for Too Face Melted Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick.

Shade- Makeup Revolution Unleash is a bright yet not OTT neon coral with slight red undertones. The shade is fab and it will suit all skin tones. It has warm tones in it and adds a pretty glow to the face.

Packaging- The packaging is quite attractive though nothing fancy with a plastic squeezy tube having an angled sponge applicator that releases the product once you’ve squeezed the tub. The packaging is sturdy and the lip colour doesn’t come out on its own until you press the tube too much making it convenient to travel along. The mouth of the tube stays clean.

Texture & Formula-The Lip Lava has a thick and creamy formula which applies easily on to the lips and blends out well. It is fragrance- free. The lipstick provides glossy finish on application which soon settles to a satin-matte finish. It looks matte but it is very comfortable on lips and doesn’t dry out the lips. The texture is amazing and it doesn’t settle in the lip lines though it does accentuate lip lines to a certain extent. The formula has Vitamin E which might be helping in restoring the moisture level of the lips.

Pigmentation- Lip Lava Unleash is incredibly pigmented and one swipe imparts decent amount of shade to cover pigmentation. However, I go with another layer to even out the product. The shade doesn’t feather or bleed.

Staying Power- The lip lava stays for about 3 hours with the shade on after which I see the top layer fading and a heavy stain being left out. It’s not very even but doesn’t look patchy and stays for about 2 more hours.

Overall Thoughts

I am very pleased to use Makeup Revolution Unleash lip lava. It is amazingly pigmented and the formula is great. It doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on lips and the finish is more on matte side that I prefer. I highly recommend checking this out but the main grudge is that they can be ordered from the website only.
