Ever since Urban Decay Launched Naked eyeshadow palette, all the makeup enthusiasts are dying to get one. But due to price or availaibility it hasn’t happened for some of us. But thanks to some brands who are trying to come up with affordable dupes. Last year I shared MUA Undressed Eyeshadow Palette and Compared it with Naked. Now its time for another dupe.Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 palette comes with 12 warm neutral shades. This eyeshadow palette is a mix of matte, pearl & shimmery, 2 matte shades and rest 10 have shimmers. Those two matte shades are excellent for transition and blending color in the crease.

I was surprised to see how pigmented the shades are, while swatching these. Though for some reasons they don’t come across that pigmented on eyelid. I have to layer some of the eyeshadows to get the desired intensity. Packaging is similar to any drugstore eyeshadow palette. Clear lid and dual ended sponge tip applicator. I really like palettes that have mirror in the lid because that makes makeup easy for me.

Texture of the eyeshadows is smooth and nice. They apply smoothly with very less fallout. I generally pat them on eyelid to get intense color. Using a primer underneath is always recommended so that the eyeshadows stick on for a longer time.All the above swatched are the result of single swirl of finger in the pan. I haven’t gone over them again to build the color. Now you can see the eyeshadows are beautiful, smooth and very pigmented. Two shades that are matte, aren’t visible on my hand as they are flesh toned.

Here I have kept Urban Decay Naked Palette next to Makeup Revolution Iconic 1, you can see how all the shades match and sequence is also the same.Here is a quick look, that isn’t as neat as I wanted it to be. I have used Kryolan Eyeshadow Primer underneath. 

Overall Thoughts

Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 eyeshadow is a palette that every makeup lover should have. It has a nice selection of warm neutral eyeshadows that work for everyone and all occasions. Its a perfect duper for UD Naked. All the eyeshadows are nicely pigmented and have a smooth texture.
