Makeup Revolution I Heart Chocolate Eye Shadow Palette (Rs 1150)
I wanted to get hold of this palette for a long time, because of the availability issues. Makeup Revolution I Heart Chocolate Eye Shadow Palette is easily available on MakeupRevolution website however shipping + custom duties stopped me from buying it. However I spotted this on Flipkart one day and didn’t think twice before placing an order. It reached me in 4 days and in perfect condition. I was not expecting much from it, because of its affordable price, but it surprised me !
Makeup Revolution I Heart Chocolate Eye Shadow Palette is said to be a cheaper dupe for Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette, however I don’t have Chocolate palette so can’t comment on that. I used this eye shadow palette in a recent video and the creaminess of the eye shadows made me fall in love.
The palette comes in a sturdy brown plastic case that resembles a bar of chocolate. You open it and a beautiful collection of matte & shimmery neutral eye shadows catches your attention. I Heart Chocolate is a perfect palette for those who love neutral warm toned eyeshadows. Palette also comes with a full-size mirror which makes it perfect for travelling.
This palette has two highlighter shades one is matte & other has pearl finish. There is a mix of bronze, gold, green, brown & plum shades. You can create so many looks with this one palette. However I miss a black eyeshadow, which is crucial if you are creating a smokey eye makeup look.
I was afraid that matte shadows will be chalky or powdery, but to my surprise they were buttery soft & easy to blend. Shimmer & metallic shades are easy to work with and I observe almost no fall outs. I always use a primer as a base, this time it was Essence Cosmetics I love Stage Eye shadow primer which is skin-toned base, and all the shades showed up really well, without layering.
