Makeup Revolution Death By Chocolate Palette Review

After getting I Heart Chocolate palette , I couldn’t stop myself from ordering Makeup Revolution Death By Chocolate, which is apparently an affordable option for Too Faced Semi Sweet eyeshadow palette.

Packaging of both the palettes is exactly the same which is a pain when you own both. However the full size mirror and selection of color is great ! Palette also has a weight to it, which gives it a high end feel.

There are 16 shades with two big pans of highlighter shades, one is matte and other is shimmery. This palette has more cool toned shades, but you can spot a bronze and gold there which is perfect when you want to do a warm toned eye makeup look.

Names of all the eye shadows are written on the plastic sheet that covers the shadows, sadly once you lose it, there wouldn’t be any way to know the shade names. I have already lost mine.

There is a mix of matte and shimmer formulas. All the eyeshadows are smooth and creamy. The swatch, apply & blend nicely.

I always use an eyeshadow primer before doing my eye makeup to extend the wear time of makeup look, also it helps them to look vivid. However without a primer couple of some shades from this palette show up nicely, especially darker ones.

I have created this look using Death By Chocolate eye shadow palette. Loved how the shimmer shades look when applied wet. Some of the shades tend to fall out, so using them wet increases the opacity and smoothness.

Overall Thoughts

I really like Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes and Death By Chocolate is another stunner. Those who love cool toned shimmery shades would love it. Formula and texture of these eyeshadows is smooth & creamy, easy to blend. Only downside is the availability.
