MAC Zoom Lash Mascara (Rs 1000 for 8g) can be purchased from MAC storeI wanted to try a mascara from MAC and MAC Zoom Lash Mascara seemed good.A word from MAC: ‘Our newest mascara designed for voluptuous night-sky volume, length like a glamorous, never-ending asphalt highway! Day or night, sweep it on…a second coat before twilight will make the evening all the more exciting. It’s intense. Fast. And blacker than black. Zoom! Deeply dark drama. Same as Zoom Lash, but with carbon black pigment. Saturates lashes with the richest black ever. Creamy, velvety formula builds density and conditions. Feels supple, light, flexible. Ultra-sculpted brush embraces and separates each lash, hugging every curve.’
Shade- I am reviewing Zoom Black shade from MAC Zoom Lash Mascara.
Packaging- I like the classy matte black packaging. It is sturdy and travel friendly. The bristles of the wand are neither too dense not very less. It is easy to use but you need a work a little bit to coat very small lashes with this wand.
Texture & Formula- MAC Zoom Lash Mascara has slightly runny consistency. It is not very much runny but you can feel it when it is applied. Also, it doesn’t dry very quickly and can put marks on the lids if eyes are blinked. Also, the mascara wand picks up more product that needed and if not used carefully, it can clump lashes. I make sure to brush my lashes after I apply this mascara. It is more of lengthening mascara than adding volume. It does provide a lot of difference to my eye lashes but that is mainly because of the deep black shade and little bit of clumping.Staying Power- MAC Zoom Lash Mascara is water resistant but not water proof. However, it stays for 7-8 hours.
I am not very satisfied with MAC Zoom Lash Mascara as it is expensive for the quality it delivers. The mascara does add length to lashes and voluminise a bit but it clumps easily and doesn’t dry out quickly which can lead to messing up of the eye look. I like the jet black shade that defines my lashes. The wand is easy to use. However, it doesn’t coat small lashes or those in the inner corners of the eyes. The mascara is water resistant. It has good staying power but doesn’t come out properly with mild cleanser and you need oil based cleanser to remove it completely.
