MAC Sweetie Lipstick Review Swatches Photos

If am not mistaken this is my first review for MAC Lustre formula, it is my least favourite but during my initial MAC days I was in love with the formula and so many shades but now I never even swatch them and the sole reason is, I tried so many good SHEER LIPSTICKS in recent times that I have high hopes even if the pigmentation is not intense and insane, I do love SHEER FINISH a lot but not MAC LUSTRE FORMULA. Lets talk about MAC Sweetie Lipstick from this range.

Shade – MAC SWEETIE is described as ultra sweet pink, the shade is cool toned soft, light pink with light mauve tones to it and have very fine pearly sheen to it which gives that glossy finish to lipstick and you don’t need any gloss on top, it is good on its own.

Texture – MAC SWEETIE is from their LUSRE formula which is light weight, sheer and is almost like a gloss in lipstick form, it is easy to layer but fine pearly sheen may dry your lips if they are not well hydrated.

Pigmentation – The lipstick is from SHEER finish and hence needs a lot of layering if you want opaque coverage, in a swipe or two it just adds a touch of colour but more layering is required to get the shade you see in tube.

Staying Power – The lipstick being sheer stays just 2 – 3 hrs and then leave no colours afterwards plus if my lips are not in good shape it feel dry. I don’t adore the formula now as I have used so many good SHEER LIPSTICKS but this is not up to the mark.

Overall Thoughts

I would not say that MAC Sweetie is a bad lipstick but after trying so many sheer formulas I find MAC lustre to be the least performing and hence nothing I would recommend you to pick at this price point.
