After Goldmine , bronze and antiqued here is another Classic shade of eye shadow by MAC – Sumptuous Olive. It is very flattering shade on our skin tone and something you can incorporate easily in your looks without much efforts .

Shade – MAC Sumptuous olive is described as Khaki with pearl. It is warm toned Smokey, dirty shade of tarnished Olive green with fine bronzy golden pearly sheen to it. I adore this shade a lot as it pairs extremely well with so many hues, purple, browns, blue and grey to be precise.

Texture – The shadow is from their Veluxe Pearl finish which is another favourite of mine along FROST finish. It is very buttery and creamy, easy to layer and build and blend texture and here is also there is no exception. The shadow is delight to swatch and every more delightful on eyes.

Pigmentation – MAC Sumptuous olive is extremely pigmented shade and can be easily worked with very less efforts. It is opaque in single layer and doesn’t need much layering. I find Veluxe pearl and frost to have this quality and hence highly recommend them.

Staying Power – Like I always mentioned in my reviews, MAC eye shadows have nice staying power with good primer underneath. This applies here as well, on my well primed lids it stays nicely for 7 – 8 hrs without creasing and fading.

Overall Thoughts

I can imagine that not all of us are comfortable with shades of GREEN, but MAC Sumptuous Olive is very easy to wear khaki shade. Once you get hang of it you can shift to greens like LUCKY GREEN which is totally out of the box. Do swatch this next time and if you are fond of this pls share your ideas to incorporate it. The shade is very flattering and pairs well easily. It can be worn alone with nice black liner to complete the look.
