MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation Review Swatches

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation – 40ml for 1500 Rs
I am a No-Foundation person as my skin beneath starts feeling suffocated. So I had to attend a wedding and wanted to look flawless and make all the females around me go green with jealousy. I had heard good reviews about MAC studio Sculpt foundation so one fine day I walked into MAC store and bought one with the help of SA. She suggested me NC 44 which I realized later that its one shade darker for me. I should have gone for NC 42 instead …

This product is best matched for Dry to Normal skin. Gives a Dewy/ luminous finish. The easy squeeze tube eliminates waste; just dole out the amount needed for each application.

MAC Studio Sculpt foundation is a full coverage foundation and gives a nice even/ flawless look. Its very pigmented so pea-size is too much to cover entire face. Its a gel based formula so in between liquid & cake/ stick foundation neither runny nor dry. Didn’t cause any breakout and stayed on for good 5-7 hours.

What I didn’t Like
Price !!! and the Orangy/ yellowish look MAC Studio Sculpt foundation gives to me. I hate it. Every time I have to mix it with my moisturizer to lighten the shade by one or two shades and then it looks quite close to my skin tone. Still MAC Studio Sculpt foundation doesn’t look natural at all and I feel that even a stupid in the crowd can notice the foundation smeared on my face ugghhh !!

So if I have to take so much of pain after shelling out too much I don’t think its worth that. I think i have paid heavily due to the ignorance of that SA or my blind faith on her verdict. Even if I take out the shade problem I am sure any other good foundation would also be equally good that too in lesser price.. what say?

I am not pleased with the fact that formula of MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation feels heavy on skin. I think this time I should give Revlon colorstay a try. Or suggest me any other brand…
