Packaging – MAC Squid Modern Twist Kajal Liner comes in a sleek twistable form. Once you twist, the product comes up and is easy to travel with. The problem is that you have to be careful about how much you twist as little goes a long way. You cannot twist it back which means the kajal will not go back into the pencil so you will end up wasting a lot of product if you twist too much.
Shade – I got the rich black shade called Squid. It is intense and great for dark black kajal lovers. It is also available in many different colors which I will surely try soon.
Formula – MAC Squid is creamy and glides on smoothly. It does not go dry or pull your eyes. I have used the technakohl liners in the past and they dry up in the container if not used daily. In fact they break when you try to apply. I have this Modern Twist Kajal for the past 4 months now and I must say this is the best they have made till date. It has a gel formula which does not dry. It is advised to close immediately after application to maintain the formula.
Pigmentation – It is intensly pigmented and little goes a long way. This is my most used kajal. However, because of the packaging, you cannot know how much product is left inside so its good to have a back up.
Staying power: I have very sensitive eyes and most of the kajals burn or do not stay. MAC Modern Twist Kajal stays put for the entire day. I use MAC Cleanse Off Oil to remove it. The kajal does not sting even after so many hours. It feels so comfortable and does not give me a feeling that I have put anything on my waterliner.

I highly recommend MAC Squid Modern Twist Kajal Liner. It is one of the best kajals from MAC. It is rich black, safe for sensitive eyes and stays put for really long time.

Looks like a nice kajal to try. I love these gel-based ones but almost all of these come in a pencil form that requires sharpening leading to product wastage. Would love to try this. Is it as pigmented as UD perversion?
