MAC Speak Louder is one of the hottest selling shades from MAC permanent line of lipsticks.
Shade – MAC Speak louder is a being described as a “clean poppy blue pink“. I find the color very vibrant and bright. Those who love to wear bright & bold pinks, would love this shade. This shade would suite almost all specially fair to medium skintones well. Color gives that instant lift to the whole look.
Texture & Formula – MAC Speak louder is a part of cremesheen range, that means formula will be buttery and glossy. It glides on easily and doesn’t settles in fine lines. Formula feels comfortable on dry lips, as it doesn’t accentuate the dryness. Finish is glossy but not as glossy as Lustre lipsticks, you can always get rid of extra shine by dabbing a tissue on your lips. Cremesheen formula is a cross between lustre finish and satin finish. So those who want more coverage that lustre and less opaque & glossier than satin finishes, can definitely try cremesheen range. Formula doesn’t turn patchy even after 4-5 hours!
Pigmentation – Pigmentation of MAC Speak louder is medium to opaque. I need two to three swipes to get even coverage and hide lip discoloration. One can wear it as a stain or full opaque lipstick.
Staying Power – MAC Speak louder lipstick stays on for good 3-5 hours depending on how much you eat in that duration. On me staying power varies from 4-5 hours.
Overall Thoughts
I really enjoy MAC Speak louder, it is bright and bold. If you love sporting bright colors on lips with almost no or minimal eye makeup, this can be a great choice. Its not an everyday shade. Formula is moisturizing and doesn’t accentuate any dryness on lips. It stays on for good 4-5 hours without turning patchy, it does leave a slight almost unnoticeable stain behind. MAC Speak louder provides opaque finish in 2-3 swipes.
