MAC Silver Ring Eye Shadow Review Swatches Photos

MAC offers some decent Grey shades in their permanent line, I had shared Knight Divine from the range and here is another Silver shade which is lighter and is wonderful to incorporate. I don’t own all Grey shades the brand offers but this and Knight Divine are my absolute favourite and I highly recommend these 2 for those dazzling looks. MAC Silver Ring Eye Shadow (1.3 gm, Price 990/- INR, Available at MAC Stores across India)

Shade – MAC Silver Ring is described as Grey with Silver Sheen, on my NC 40 skin tone it is sparkly but not frosty shade of mid tone silver with pearly sheen to it. I again repeat, the sheen is really fine and lends a soft sparkly effect rather a frosty look. The shade is again very wearable but if you want something more dramatic opts for ELECTRA which is lighter and frostier.

Texture – This is from Veluxe Pearl finish which is soft, buttery and easy to use. It is not powdery at all and the sheen is not frosty rather it is really fine and gives more of a pearly look. I adore this finish due to the finish and how easy to blend it is.

Pigmentation – The pigmentation is wonderful and it needs very little layering to get opaque coverage. The swatch here shows where I swirled my finger heavily on the pan; on eyes I used a flat brush to eliminate chances of any fall out.

Staying power – With good primer underneath the shadow manage to stay nicely without creasing and fading for 7 – 8 hrs easily and this is what most of the MAC shadows stays on me .

Overall Thoughts

MAC Silver Ring is great colour and is very wearable shade of Silver , there is MAC ELECTRA too which is much lighter as compared to this one and hence I prefer to use this in my looks . If you are looking for a wearable shade of Silver Grey, please have a look at this colour.
