MAC Pro line includes 5 sculpting powder – Bone Beige, Sculpt, Shadowy, Shadester and Definitive. I have two of these contouring powders which are mainly targeted for medium to dark skin tone, the shade which is sharing here is Shadester. I picked MAC Shadester Sculpting Powder long back from MAC Pro Store as they not available in regular MAC stores here , you can either pick a refill or a pan but I opted for refill as at times using as single pan is pain .

Shade – MAC Shadester is described as Midtone leathery Brown; it is warm toned soft medium brown shade with enough warm tones to add depth and suit medium to dark skin tones easily. This was my first pick and so far I’m really glad how it looks on my skin tone. I use a slant brush to place the powder on hollows of my cheeks and on temples as well as on sides of my nose to give that slightly chiselled look and it works perfectly fine with light hand and circular motions .

Texture – MAC Pro products are finally milled, really creamy and easy to pick from brush like MAC 168 which I find is perfect to work on hollows of the cheeks.

Pigmentation – The powder is nicely pigmented, you may need to apply 2 layers on deeper skin tones like mine while on someone like NC 35 and below 1 layer would do the job perfectly.

Staying Power – My face look perfectly defined and chiselled for 7 – 8 hrs as the powder doesn’t fade easily and stays on place without moving or fading.

Overall Thoughts

MAC Shadester Sculpting Powder is really great if you want to contour your face without looking ashy or punched , the powder has soft warm undertones which will suit most of the skin tone , it adds depth and can be used to contour face or eyes as it is matte .
