I have become quite daring and donot hesitate to try out all the bold and deep shades. During my recent visit to MAC I came across this beautiful shade Rebel and decided to give it a shot.
MAC Rebel Lipstick – Rs 990, available at MAC Stores
Color – One look at the bullet and you will see dark plum shade, when swatched shade transforms into a beautiful wearable berry-purple shade. I was afraid that it might look Gothic or too dark on me but surprisingly it complimented my skin tone and gave a boost to my complexion. 
Texture & Formula – MAC Rebel is a satin finish formula that means it would neither look super glossy nor matte/ flat. It glides on easily and gives a semi-matte finish. Best part is that it doesn’t settle into fine lines or feel uncomfortably dry. One negative is that it tends to highlight flaky dry lips. I have to exfoliate my lips and moisturize them before applying it.
Pigmentation – Its superb, gives opaque coverage in one sweep. It covers lip discoloration instantly. So this one bullet going to last me forever !
Staying power– It stays on for good 5-6 hours also It leaves a strong tint on lips after wearing off, stain looks quite flattering.
Application – I am planning to buy a matching lip liner to make the application neat and precise. I use a lip brush to outline and fill it in. MUA suggested me a lip liner to go with MAC Rebel but i was in no mood to shell out 800-900 Rs for a lip pencil ! I might look at Nyx or jordana for a cheaper alternative.

Overall Thoughts
If you can pull off deep dark shades or looking for a bold shade other than regular red lipstick, do try it. This shade would compliment all skin tones. I am really pleased with its formula and staying power. You might find it expensive but then superb pigmentation will keep this baby around for much longer than regular lipsticks.
