MAC Prolongwear Concealer (Rs 1200 for 9 ml) available at MAC Stores

Packaging – Its the most talked about disappointment in the product. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser. Glass bottle is not travel friendly and the pump dispenses too much product. I would have preferred a wand or a tube packaging like MAC Select Cover Up Concealer.
Shade – I was initially suggested NC 45 by MAC SA, I am NC 42 in foundation and was not very pleased to buy such a dark concealer since I do not have deep dark circles. I asked him to try one shade lighter and he said that might look too light and grey. I asked him to try NW range, since NW has peachy undertones, He kept on insisting to buy NC 45. When I came home and tried it, NC 45 looked way too dark no matter how small amount I used. Finally I had to sell it off.
During one of my recent visits I asked him to try NW 35, It worked well. 
Texture & Formula – Texture of MAC Prolongwear Concealer is bit runny. I use my fingers to apply this concealer and dab it into the skin. I skip using powder over it since it sets into a matte finish and I find the formula bit drying. The concealer blends and sets quickly. This can be a good choice for girls with oily skin. Its very light weight.
Pigmentation & Coverage – MAC Prolongwear Concealer is very pigmented. I only need to dab tiniest amount possible under my eyes and it does its job. It provides medium coverage. If you have deep dark circles this alone wouldn’t cover, a corrector is a must. I prefer using it only on my under eye area. I have used it to hide blemishes and discoloration around my mouth and it works well there too.
Staying Power – MAC Prolongwear Concealer stays on whole day without creasing. If you have dry skin then using a good moisturising eye cream underneath is a must otherwise it would look too dry or wrinkly. I skip powder it as it sets pretty well and matte without using one.
I use MAC Prolongwear Concealer only when I need the concealer to stay on for 7-8 hours otherwise I use YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch which conceals and brightens.
Overall Thoughts
MAC Prolongwear Concealer is the most long staying fuss free concealer I have tried so far. Its very pigmented and little goes a long way. Formula is light weight and finish is matte so there is no need to powder it. If you have dry skin , I would recommend using a good eye cream underneath or under eye area will appear dry. MAC Prolongwear Concealer provides medium coverage so for girls with deep dark circles this alone wouldn’t work. Only downside for me is that I find the formula little dry for me.

I’ve faced the same problem too.. NC 45 is too dark, NC42 is too light… otherwise this is my favorite concealer too!

This is in my October wishlist. I do have extremely dry skin but I would try this. Seems like a good product. Will see how good it works with an eye cream like you said.

i heard many people appreciate this concealer but my problem is about the shade , i saw ur review about deborah milano concealer in 4 peach and i used it , what i liked about him is the peach colour and i wonder if the prolong wear concealer in nw35 has a close shade to the 4 peach of deborah milano so what do u think 🙂 ?
