MAC recently launched their Divine Nights Collection, This collection has 5 Limited Edition Lipsticks, out of which today am going to review one lipstick called ‘Private Party’.

Shade – MAC Describes ‘Private Party’ as a ‘Dirty Plum Shade’. Now the color is not like usual plum lipsticks which is not doesn’t caught attention, this is quite a unique shade as it has some pink undertones too. The plum color actually doesn’t comes out to be gothic as we already have mindset of plum color. This makes it more wearable by all skin tones. The color of MAC Private Party Lipstick is pretty nice and looks pretty on lips. This again is very good alternative to the people who are shy away from wearing dark plum shades.

Packaging – The packaging is same like Black bullet but here is a twist, unlike steel finish inside. It has gold finish. On the outer black cardboard box, the imprints are all in gold color. The packaging of MAC Private Party Lipstick is quite luxe and I wish MAC should make all their regular line lipsticks in the same packaging as it has become quite boring to see the same old ones.

Texture and Pigmentation – As is it is satin finish, the texture is light creamy, comes out on lips without any tugging or pulling. The formula is quite hydrating, so a lip balm is quite not necessary. In winters I prefer in creamy lipstick over matte however Matte finish is always my favorite. It gives opaque coverage on a single swipe.

Staying power – MAC Private Party Lipstick gives a quite decent staying considering the fact it’s on creamier side. It stays for 5-6 hours on me survive light meals and drinks. However after a full meal it goes uneven from center so touch up is mandatory.MAC Private Party Lipstick review (1)

Overall Thoughts

MAC Private Party Lipstick is such a beautiful subtle plum lipstick which surely makes you look beautiful and it is not as gothic as one might think about Plum shade. The texture is extremely easy and pretty decent staying power. If it is available in MAC stores, though I doubt not as it is an LE , Go GET IT..!!!!!

Such a pretty color on you! I had my eye on this one, but it seems pretty similar to a few other colors I own.
