MAC Patisserie Lipstick (Rs 990 for 3 g) available at MAC StoresThe shade was launched in 2009-  MAC Euristocrats Collection but due to its immense popularity, it has been added in permanent line.

Shade – MAC Patisserie is described as ‘sheer creamy neutral pink’ by MAC and this is apt description of the shade. It is a delicate nude with soft pink undertones.The shade is sans any shimmer or frost. On my lips, it comes out a nude with very little pink tones.Packaging – The packaging is like MAC permanent lipsticks having matte black bullet that is sturdy and travel friendly. The shade name and finish is provided at the bottom.

Texture & Formula – The texture of MAC Patisserie is very soft and smooth.Being Lustre finish,it has glossy texture and provides slight sheen on lips.

It is quite moisturising. The formula is light weight and non-sticky. The lipstick doesn’t settle in the lip lines neither accentuate dry flaky lips. It has the same vanilla fragrance that is reminiscent to all MAC lip products.Pigmentation – MAC Patisserie is a sheer shade and being lustre finish, it is more on semi-glossy side. The shade can be built to medium coverage that will add a bit of pinkness on lips but it doesn’t blur or hide lip imperfections. It is a shade that will suit fair skin and those having pink-neutral tones more that olive and dusky skin tones. Also, those having lip pigmentation can find this shade hard to pull off as it is way too sheer to cover lip problems.

Staying Power – MAC Patisserie stays for about 2- 2 1/2 hours on lips as it is a very light shade and has semi-glossy finish. It can hardly survive a drink. However, it leaves the lips soft and supple.

Overall Thoughts

MAC Patisserie is a great MLBB shade for fair skin tones.On my NC 35 skin tone,it comes out as a subtle nude pink.I generally pair this shade with dark eye looks as otherwise;it washes out my face tone and accentuates skin unevenness.

The formula is creamy,soft and hydrating. It has glossy finish which makes lips appear healthy.However,it is very low interms of pigmentation and staying power. I so wish it had been a bit pinker but all over it is a very classy nude shade.
