The shade am sharing today is one of the first few shades I picked from MAC , you may feel that it is hard to wear kinds but trust me it is universally flattering shade and I have seen this on every possible skin tone , it is very versatile and unique shade just the finish is little put off .

Shade – Passionate is warm toned muted pink shade with matte touch to it, there is no sheen shimmer but still it is not pure flat matte shade. I have seen this on variety of skin tone and it looked wonderful in every possible way.

Texture – MAC Passionate is from matte finish and hence feels a little dry to touch and this particular shade is not very easy to work if you are new to eye makeup.  I find the shade is best for patting on, it is hard to use on a fluffy brush and use as the texture is very dry. 

Pigmentation – The shadow is above average in pigmentation; it may not be the best pigmented eye shadow but still can be layered to achieve opaque coverage easily.

Staying power – With good primer underneath it stays nicely for 6 – 7 hrs easily without creasing or fading. Some of the MAC Eye Shadows can be worn without primer and mostly from frost finish but matte shades do need a good base to show up and stay put.

Useful for – The shade can be worn all over the lids or in the crease to define it and goes nicely with browns, purples and grey shades.

Overall Thoughts

The shade is quite unique in MAC permanent line but the texture is not that wonderful to be honest, it can be incorporated easily and is buildable too but hard to BLEND. If you are looking for a matte muted pink shade then MAC Passionate is nice option but you really need to put a lot of effort to work this out. After giving a lot of thought am still not able to find a dupe for this shade in MAC.
