MAC Party Line Lipstick (Rs 990 for 3 g) available at MAC Stores
Shade – MAC Party Line is from MAC’s permanent line and Cremesheen range. Its a perfect bold deep dark color for winters. Party Line can be described as a deep reddish brown with some hint of berry. This color will look good on all complexions, specially those who don’t want to wear bright reds, can opt for this.
Texture and Formula – MAC Party Line has a creamy finish. Formula is hydrating and keeps lips soft throughout the wear. Texture feels smooth almost buttery and glides on lips without tugging or pulling. Even after sometime, formula stays comfortable though it looses some of it shine but doesn’t turn matte whatsoever. It doesn’t settle in fine line or highlights wrinkles. I haven’t faced any issues of the formula feathering or moving color outside lips. One can wear it as a stain during the day too, it looks beautiful as a stain.
Pigmentation – I would say MAC Party Line has good pigmentation but it provides medium coverage. You can always build up the color for full coverage. There is a positive side to it, you can wear it as a stain or build up the color. It provides more coverage than MAC’s lustre finish lipsticks. Color may look different on others depending on how pink or pigmented their lips are.
Staying Power – MAC Party Line stays on for good 5-6 hours on me. It survives meals though looses some of its intensity and glossiness. The color does leave a mild stain that stays on sometime.
Overall Thoughts
MAC Party Line is one of my favourite dark/ bold lipsticks for this season. Formula is quite moisturzing and doesn’t settle in fine lines. Color is dark enough to give even coverage and can be worn as a stain too. Its not a matte formula so lips appear fuller. Staying power is good too. I would recommend this color to everyone specially medium to deeper skin tones.
