MAC Media Lipstick (Rs 1450)

With the onset of winters my mind starts looking for deep dark Vampy shades, I love such shades all year around but during colder months they make more sense ! I was eyeing MAC Diva Lipstick for sometime, and saw Sin & Media last month while looking for swatches online and immediately fall in love with MAC Media.. A difficult shade to pull off, but an absolute stunner I must add.

Shade – MAC Media is described as Intense Reddish Purple, which stands true however I find it leaning more towards burgundy. Its a dark color, but beautiful on medium to deeper skintones. Wear it as a full on color or tint, it looks gorgeous.

Texture & Formula – MAC Media belongs to the satin range which means intense pigmentation with satin finish. However I find it quite creamy and glossy when applied first. The Formula is very moisturizing and stays comfortably on lips. To avoid feathering I use a dark lip liner and lightly dab a tissue on the lips after applying the lipstick, it takes off excess color. 

Pigmentation – One stroke delivers intense color, which means no matter how pigmented your lips might be, this color will show up nicely. MAC Media provides even finish and doesn’t settle in fine lines.

Staying Power – Being a dark shade MAC Media stays on for good 6-7 hours. It leaves a strong stain behind which stays on for another 1 hours. If you aren’t comfortable with such a dark shade, do try MAC Rebel which is another favorite lipstick of mine 🙂

Overall Thoughts

A must have shade if you love dark fall lipsticks. Formula is creamy, intensely pigmented and keeps lips comfortable. MAC Media is a shade that would look stunning on all skintones. I am planning to get DIVA & SIN soon 😀
