MAC Marque Ultimate Lipstick Review Swatches Photos

I have no idea when MAC will launch their ULTIMATE Lipstick collection which is permanent addition to their line here in India, but here is the shade I picked recently from MAC (US). The texture and line is permanent addition and I’m hoping to see it here pretty soon. Lets read on more about MAC Marque ultimate lipstick.

MAC Marque Ultimate Lipstick (4.5 gm for $ 23 plus Tax, Available at MAC)

Shade – MAC Marque ultimate lipstick is described as SOFT NEUTRAL PINK, on my NC 40 skin tone the shade is warm toned rosy beige shade with hint of peach in it and super fine golden shimmer to it. I adore the shade a lot; it is so wonderful and so very flattering however I had never expected it to work for me but surprisingly it did!

Texture – The texture is unlike MAC regular line – it is very light weight, creamy, glides easily and feels as you have nothing on your lips. I simply adored the texture but find that if you layer it too much it may settle in fine lines. I have always liked MAC Matte formula which is opaque in single stroke but this I had to layer back and forth due to lighter shade and found that if my lips aren’t exfoliated well it may settle .

Pigmentation – It is decently pigmented shade, but as it is on lighter side of colour wheel, I need little bit of layering which I find is an issue if you don’t have well exfoliated lips.

Staying Power – MAC Marque Ultimate Lipstick stays good for 4 hrs plus on my lips with light meals in between and leave behind a soft peachy tint on my lips afterwards.

Packaging – I would add a bit about packaging here, it is housed in gunmetal shiny tube and is designed beautifully and looks pretty huge when you hold in hand. The size is also bigger than regular MAC line which is just 3 Gms.

Overall Thoughts

I loved the shade and no matter it is light, MAC Marque Ultimate Lipstick still looked pretty good on my skin tone and something I have never worn in past. The price is too steep and considering how they have hiked the prices here in India, I doubt that it may be around 2 K here when they launch, having said that, I still recommend you to swatch the range and see if something works for you.
