MAC Lustering Lipstick – Rs 990, Available at MAC Stores
MAC Lustering Lipstick falls into Luster finish category by MAC. That means the shad will be sheer and super glossy !
Shade – MAC Lustering Lipstick is a hot pink color. It looks coral pink in tube but comes off as a beautiful bright pink on lips. Its sheerness makes it more wearable than MAC impassioned or Girl About town Lipsticks. I am NC 44 and tried all the three shades in store and Lustering matched my requirement well. This particular shade can be worn anywhere, even to work ! It doesn’t look loud at all.
Texture & Formula – Lustering feels buttery on lips and glides on smoothly without tugging. It feels comfortable on lips and doesn’t make them dry, it doesn’t settle into fine lines. Due to glossy finish lips look fuller and plump. I like luster finishes since the formula is pretty pleasant on dry lips.
Pigmentation – Luster finishes are sheer but buildable. I use one sweep for regular use and layer it up as and when required to intensify the color. I have slight darker upper lip but lustering covers the pigmentation in 3 swipes.
Staying Power – It stays on me for good 3-4 hours.
That’s How it looks on me, right now a lip swatch only but I will come back with a full face look with Lustering on.
Overall Thoughts
MAC Lustering will look different on different lips based on how pink or pigmented they are. Its a comfortable way of wearing Hot Pink without looking OTT. Luster Formulas are sheer so if you are looking for opaque shades this may not be a good choice, however you can try L’Oreal Intense Fuchsia in that case. I am head over heels in love with MAC Lustering and have worn this many times already. This shade would compliment fair to medium skintones and is a must have for all Pink Lipstick lovers out there !!
