A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. Long-wearing, colourfast. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. Blends smoothly over the lids. Cream-based, can be mixed with M·A·C shadows and liners.
MAC Indianwood Paintpot is a metallic golden shade with bronze hints. This is one shade which would never fail and look absolutely gorgeous on Indian skintones. One can wear it to any occasion/ weddings etc without thinking twice.
As the name suggests MAC Paintpots come in round glass pots, which feels quite heavy in hand. Though they are made of glass still don’t feel too fragile. Even the black plastic lid is quite sturdy.
Texture of Indianwood is smooth, buttery smooth. It glides on smoothly without tugging or pulling. Pigmentation is superb and gives opaque coverage in one swipe. You can use it alone as an eyeshadow or can use as base and apply any other eyeshadow on top of it. Even as a base the eyeshadow sits well on top and blending doesn’t become an issue.Staying power is awesome, It stays on and on for hours without creasing or fading. I don’t have oily lids so am afraid it might not stay this long on oily lids, can slide.
I was wondering if formula of MAC paintpots is smilar to Maybelline color tattoos? I compared it with On and On Bronze/ Bad to the bronze which is the closest shade I have. As you can see MAC Indianwood paintpot is more gold less bronze where Bad to the bronze looks more bronze. IMO indianwood will be closer to Bold Gold. Unfortunately I don’t have that shade to compare with because I found Bold Gold too golden for me. So in short Indianwood paintpot bridges the gap between gold and bronze and comes up with a wearable shade.
However Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows can be a good dupe, and cost much less (Rs 350). Texture of MAC paintpot and Maybelline Color tattoo felt same, buttery smooth.. Staying power of both is almost comparable.
A must have shade if you are planning to dig into MAC paintpots. Would suit all skintones and has right blend of gold & bronze. I would highly recommend it to soon-to-be-married girls who would have to attend numerous ceremonies/ meets and this can be a quick fix eyemakeup solution. MAC Indianwood Paintpot can be worn as an eyeliner, eyeshadow or eyeshadow base and works well in all the roles. Though price can be a huge hurdle for some but then you have Maybelline Color Tattoos which will work equally good..
