Shade – MAC describes double dare as a coral red.It is a very pretty pink toned coral-red. The lip glass is toned down and makes lips look ‘juicy’. The shade is sans any shimmer.

Packaging – The crème sheen lip glass has a lengthened tube with black cap. It has a doe- footed sponge applicator which is sturdy and helps in even application of the product.MAC Crèmesheen Double Dare Lip Glass (7)

Texture & Formula – The texture of MAC Double Dare lip glass is very creamy and smooth. It glides on easily on lips making then look luscious. The formula is very hydrating. It is not very thick in consistency but not on the runny side. It doesn’t settle in the lip lines, neither accentuates dry lips. The lip glass feel comfortable on lips and in non-sticky. It has vanilla fragrance to it.

Pigmentation – MAC Double Dare is not highly pigmented but decent enough to cover mild pigmentation on lips. One coat comes out sheer which can be built up further with another swipe. It doesn’t feel heavy on layering and provides mirror-like effect to lips. Also, it never bleeds on over application.

Staying Power – MAC Double Dare stays for about 2-3 hours on lips after which it fades. But the moisturising effect of the gloss remains. It stays for 4-5 hours when topped over a lipstick.

Overall Thoughts

I love the shade and the way it brightens up my face without looking over the top. MAC Double Dare will suit all skin tones as it has a perfect combination of red, coral and pink.It is slightly thick in consistency but doesn’t feel heavy.The formula is very hydrating and makes lips appear luscious. Double Dare is that shade of red which can be worn on any occasion and can be paired with any look. It is subtle yet noticeable.

The packaging is also classy and the doe footed wand applicator eases application of the lip glass.

I highly recommend trying this shade and the range as it has one of the best formulathat is creamy,hydrating, has great shades though it is thick. The price is on a higher side compared to other lip glasses and plush glasses but it is definitely worth buying for the quality it offers.
