Intense reddish burgundy is how MAC describes Diva as, and that is exactly how wonderful the color is. Priced at $15 (990/-) this is a part of MAC’s permanent line and one of their most popular lipsticks till date.

Packaging : The packaging is pure MAC, black and steel, and when you open the lid, you find a beautiful dark-red lipstick, that truthfully looks slightly scary in the bullet. At least to me it did. You might be less frightened. It definitely is one of the bolder shades from the brand. Color: The color is an intense dark burgundy red with definite plum undertones. On my lips it translates to a lovely dark shade of burgundy which just is amazing. Although its matte, it does not dry out my lips, and one swipe is sufficient for building up enough color. I absolutely love the way it glides on my lips easily, and does not bleed. I generally apply it as a stain, or blot it once before reapplication, and also line my lips before. Yes, matte lipsticks need a bit of extra attention, but I don’t mind it because it’s all worth it.

Staying Power: The staying power is impressive. This stains my lips and stays on it for 4 hours easily if I don’t eat. However, yes, drying is an issue, so if you have dry lips, lip balms might help overcome it. It does transfer slightly at the beginning, so yes, careful application is a must. Overall, I love the color and the staying power, and it does go really well with my skin tone, so I will recommend this to anyone who have a flair for drama and want a pair of lips that would really stand out.
