MAC Dare You Lipstick is part of MAC’s permanent line and cremesheen range. Cremesheen range offers glossy finish and medium coverage.

Shade – MAC Dare you is a deep brown red lipstick. This color is best for those who want to wear red lipstick but don’t want it to look too bright. MAC Dare you is littel brighter and less brown than MAC Viva Glam 1. This color would compliment all skintones. When I look at the lipstick bullet, I can see some shimmers shining through, but they aren’t visible when its swatched or applied on lips

Texture & Formula – MAC Dare you is smooth and glossy, almost reminding me of MAC Lustre Finish Lipsticks. It glides on smoothly without tugging or pulling. Formula provides medium to full coverage. I apply 2 layers to get full coverage and hide lip pigmentation. Formula feel comfortable and keeps lips moisturized throughout the wear. It doesn’t settle in fine lines. Shimmer that one sees in bullet, doesn’t appear on lips, I guess the purpose of those shimmers is to add shine or lustre to the finish.

Pigmentation – MAC Dare you is moderately pigmented. You can wear it sheer or build up the color. It provides opaque/ even finish and hides lip discoloration in 2 swipes.

Staying Power – MAC Dare you stays on me for good 4+ hours, fading after a full meal. It leaves a slight tint behind.

Overall Thoughts

I really like everything about MAC Dare You and can’t find any fault except the staying power, but then again with such a creamy formula you can’t expect a longer wear time. Its a beautiful deep brown red and perfect for those who want to wear reds but don’t want to try too bright colors. Formula is moisturizing and keeps lips comfortable throughout the wear. I would recommend this shade and formula to all !
