MAC Craving Lipstick Review Swatches Photos

The shade which I am sharing today is one of the best selling MAC Craving. The shade is universally flattering and if you are starting up your collection or slowly building up, do consider swatching this in store next time. I consider that shades like these are easy to work and don’t need much efforts on eyes or cheeks, they just lift the face with one swipe.

Shade – MAC Craving is described as Burst of Plum as per MAC Cosmetics, and as per the description it is cool toned plumy shade, a saturated pink plum which is very flattering on all skin tones regardless of their undertones. I find this an easy to wear shade, something which can be worn on any occasion without much a do. There are very few plum shades you will find which have pink tones mostly shades have berry tones which may add age but as it has pink tones it makes the face livelier.

Texture – It is from MAC’s amplified cream range which offers nice deeply pigmented shade plus the staying power is also great and not to forget that subtle sheen you see. The lipstick glides easily and has that soft sheen to it; it is creamier and doesn’t drag or pull.

Pigmentation – MAC Craving is gorgeously pigmented and deposits right amount of colour in one pass, however for more even look 2 applications is recommended.

Staying Power – The lipstick stays nicely without moving and settling in fine lines for 4 – 5 hours easily, the sheen fades away in an hour or two but that strong plum lips stays and doesn’t make my lips dry like SATIN or MATTE Finish from MAC .

Overall Thoughts

MAC Craving is very flattering and if you like softer plummy pink shades it is the perfect choice for you, no matter what your undertones may be; this is easy to wear and flatters a lot.
