MAC Brush Cleanser comes in a huge plastic bottle. I would have loved to see it in a spray bottle, that would have made it convenient to use. I bought MAC Brush Cleanser to spot clean my brushes or clean them when I don’t have time (Or while travelling)
The container is too huge and literally useless, I mean I have to take out product through the tricky outlet in the cap to a tissue and then swipe my brushes on the tissue to clean them. So I decided to pour some of the brush cleanser into an empty spray bottle.
How I use it
I use it in two different ways. 1. Spary on some cleanser direcly on the bristles and then wipe or swirl the brush on a tissue. It will be cleaned in seconds. 2. Spray on some MAC Brush Cleanser on tissue and swirl brush on it.
First step requires more quantity of the brush cleanser, i use that way to clean denser brushes.
These are two brushes I am cleaning. Sigma F 80 (Foundation Brush), Bharat & Dorris Stippling Brush (Used for cream blush application)
Sprayed on some Cleanser to brush directly and wiped them using tissue
Clean Brushe
I deep clean my brushes once a week using baby shampoo. MAC Brush Cleanser comes handy when you don’t have much time or have few brushes that you use daily.
Overall Thoughts
Its not a must have but a good to have product. I like using this to spot clean my makeup brushes so that they are ready to use again in couple of minutes. Deep cleaning of brushes using soap & water takes lots of time and brushes take a lot of time to dry properly. MAC Brush Cleanser can be a good option to carry while travelling. Its decently priced and this one bottle will last months. Only downside is the packaging. I will repurchase it for sure.

I love this for spot cleansing as well. Don’t have any regrets with this. I do use other things for deep cleansing brushes once in a week. Otherwise, this is perfect. I use it everyday and it doesn’t last me that long.
