MAC Brave Lipstick (1450/- INR, Available at MAC stores)
I have shared my love for MAC Fast Play lipstick few days back, it is still my favourite neutral pink shade but the one am sharing today is more for someone who is NC 35 and below. MAC Brave is a stunner in every possible way but just not meant for me .I do love the finish it comes from but the colour makes me look pale and dull and enhance my flaws .
Shade – BRAVE is described as Pink Beige with White Pearl and as per the description it is very pale shade of neutral pink with warm undertones to it “My lip But Better” shade. This is said to be Kylie Jenner’s favourite lip shade but am sure she must have used something else too in addition to this – MAC SOAR Lip Pencil may be. Any ways, the colour is nice and easy to wear kinds but something which a lighter skin tone person can enjoy.
Texture – MAC Satin finish is comfortable on lips and wears a long time as well. The texture is easy to glide and sits pretty, there is very less transfer and the lipstick leave my lips a little dry once it wears off. I do like the SATIN Finish as its long wearing but it can be drying if you already have dry lips issue.
Staying power – The staying power is somewhere between 3 – 4 hrs on my lips with mild eating and then it leaving behind a light tint which is good for nothing.
Pigmentation – The lipstick is decently pigmented and needs 2 layers to show up and cover my lips entirely, if you like sheer application 1 layer would be good enough.
Overall Thoughts
If you like neutral pink shades then MAC Brave Lipstick is a good choice but for my NC 40 skin tone it is little too pale . I still maintain that MAC FAST PLAY is great choice for warm Indian skin tone but someone lighter in skin tone can easily go away with BRAVE.
