MAC Before Dawn Nail Lacquer (990/- INR for 10 ml, Available at MAC stores across India)

The Nail Polish which I’m sharing today is from MAC’s LE collection but was easily available here as I guess they are not fast moving and am so glad I managed to grab this shade. This is my first MAC Nail Polish and I would confess that it is defiantly not a bad purchase if not a must have. While trying the shades I really liked some neutrals and vampy shades but as it was my first time I wanted to see how they perform.

Shade – MAC Before Dawn Nail Lacquer is described as Green Grey, the shade is warm toned grey toned Smokey green and have a soft pearly sheen to it which was grey and green in tone. The shade looks very classy and sophisticated. The sheen shimmer was not very visible and I hope you can make out that from pictures here.

Texture – The texture is easy to manage for a novice like me who is not into nail art at all , leave aside nail art I hardly paint my nails so this was easy to work I would conclude , it had medium to thick creamy consistency and the brush was designed beautifully to give even application .

Pigmentation – It required 2 coats to get fully opaque coverage, there was no streakiness or unevenness what so ever. The shade was almost opaque in one layer but another layer added more evenness to already beautiful colour.

Staying Power – The shade stayed nicely for 3 – 4 days without any base or top coat and there was mild chipping which was okay to some extent and could have been prevented if I had sued a base or top coat and I do work a lot in kitchen mind you !

Overall Thoughts

I really liked MAC Before Dawn Nail Lacquer  and MAC formula is delight to work provided they don’t hike the prices for these. I may pick a shade or two which caught my attention while trying this and they are included in Back to MAC which is added bonus.
