MAC Amorous Lipstick , Satin finish – Rs 990, available at MAC stores MAC Amorous is a satin finish formula. MAC satin finish formulas are long wearing and creamy though less creamier than creamsheen formulas and less drying than matte finishes.

MAC Amorous is a plummy/mauve shade with hint of brown. Texture is smooth and glides on easily. It gives a semi-matte finish. Formula is pretty pigmented and provides full coverage. It looks creamy when freshly applied and turns matte after sometimes. It Stays on for good 4-5 hours and leaves mild tint behind. Due to its texture it doesn’t move or bleeds.

The formula is matte and doesn’t feel very drying though I would recommend using a lip balm underneath. Girls with dry lips may need to exfoliate their lips before using this shade as it tends to highlight flaky chapped lips + it does settles into lines after some time. . It settles down and you kind of feel it on your lips whole time

That’s how MAC Amorous looks on me.

This shade will suit medium to dark skin tones, for some it can also be a good MLBB shade. However fairer skin tones may find it a bit dark to be worn during the day. Also for working girls it will look really subtle and sober.

Overall Thoughts

MAC Amorous is a nice plummy mauve shade which will look good on medium to dusky beauties. It will look good if worn with some makeup on as it tends to make one look dull. It looks matte once applied and doesn’t move or bleeds. I somehow find the finish and staying power satisfactory though you need to apply lip balm once it starts wearing off.  It tends to highlight lip wrinkles. So girls with dry lips might want to stay away. Its not a must have shade in my opinion.
