MAC Absolute Power Lipstick (Rs 990 for 3g) available at MAC Stores
MAC launched the lipstick Absolute Power as part of the Strength Collection. The shade is Limited Edition, and the finish is matte. MAC described it as Rich Red, and I tend to agree with the verdict.
Packaging: The packaging is basic with the MAC black and steel bullet, although this was a part of the strength collection. The lock mechanism is secure, so travelling with it is no problem whatsoever.
Color: Although MAC Absolute Power looks pretty dark in the bullet, on application, the color shows up pretty nicely. It is a dark red with clear pink undertones. The color glides on without any issues and is quite creamy, and one swipe is enough for the color to turn opaque, covering any pigmentation I have on my lips. Unlike a retro matte finish which dries out the lips considerably, this one doesn’t, so major score for MAC there. The smell is typically MAC vanilla, which I love. It does not bleed or flake.
Staying Power: The staying power of MAC Absolute Power is quite good, around 6-7 hours if you leave it undisturbed. It does have the tendency to lighten up and fade unevenly when you eat or drink, but that is, again, most lipsticks. It actually fades to a flattering pink-red stain bordering on raspberry which looks quite good on my lips.

Overall Thoughts
I love MAC Absolute Power and I hope that MAC re-promotes this or adds this shade to their permanent collection. It’s a great shade for Indian skin tone, and is a fabulous color in general.
