Lotus Herbals Purestay Nourishing foundation is a preservative free, all day wear oil free foundation that gives the skin ultimate weightless coverage. This new luminous formula hydrates the skin, diminishes the appearance of fine lines without clogging pores, delays ageing and offers broad spectrum UV protection SPF 20. Suitable for all skin type.I received this foundation as a part of press kit by Lotus Herbals at the Safe Sun SPF 100 Launch. I have used this foundation couple of times since then, and really loved it. Lotus Herbals Purestay Nourishing Foundation comes in 5 shades.

Shade – The shade I am reviewing today is Royal Ivory which is a little lighter than I would prefer, but I was literally amazed to see how it melted in to the skin and didn’t look light at all and also gave a radiant glow. I guess Hazelnut star would be a good match for my NC 42-44 skin tone and I might buy it next.Texture & Formula – I found the formula a bit thick & Heavy but once you start blending it, it just melts into the skin. I hate foundations that sit on the top of skin and look obvious. Lotus Herbals Purestay Nourishing Foundation gives skin a healthy glow and doesn’t look cake-y whatsoever. Formula is moisturizing and suitable for dry skin girls. I apply it without moisturizing my face and it doesn’t make my skin dry or stretchy. It gives slightly dewy finish that doesn’t come any closer to shiny or greasy looking skin, having said that I am not sure if it wouldn’t turn greasy on oily skin.

Coverage – I find it a medium coverage foundation. It evens out skin very well and covers darkness under my eyes, though it might not cover scars/ blemishes well. It offers broad spectrum UV protection SPF 20 so in flash photography it does look tad lighter/ leaves bit of white cast.Staying Power – It stays on me for 5-6 hours on it own, when set with powder staying power increases by 1-2 hours. When I sweat it starts sliding off which is a major drawback.

I would recommend this foundation to girls with dry to normal skin. The formula is easy to blend and provides medium coverage. The best part is that it doesn’t looks cake-y or obvious, though it does feel heavy on skin. I love how it keeps my skin moisturised throughout the wear and doesn’t highlight those dry patches. I love how it makes my skin glowy/ dewy without feeling sticky or greasy. Also formula is preservative free and offers broad spectrum UV protection SPF 20 !! However there is no lock or cap on the nozzle so packaging wise it isn’t travel friendly.
