Packaging is very girly. Outer box, Lipstick wrap & lipstick case all are lavender colored (I am a bit color blind, correct me if I am wrong). The first thing I noticed is how the lipstick case was wrapped in a beautiful satin pouches. Although its not much of a use later, who doesn’t like that extra Prettiness 😀 The lipstick case itself is quite slim.

Texture of the lip color is not creamy however it glides on smoothly. This shade is matte and looks flattering. Long staying lip colors are generally drying and to test the ‘mosturizing claims’ I didn’t use lip balm underneath, surprisingly my lips didn’t feel dry initially after wearing it but after couple of hour it did dried them.

Staying Power is great. On me it stayed for 7+ hours and stood by one full course meal.. It started fading a little after 6 hours.

Pigmentation is good. I applied it with a lip brush, however if you apply directly, it will take multiple swipes to show up the color evenly on the lips. This shade successfully covers and hides lip pigmentation.

It accentuates fine lines and dryness after few hours which is a major drawback.

I used Lakme Absolute Makeup Remover to remove it, it was gone without leaving stain.

Overall Thoughts

Lotus Purestay colors are really longlasting and delivers what they claim. Cherry on the top is a shade which will suit all skin tones. Their staying power is great and have been priced decently. Working girls will love it as this rarely need touch ups and would survive through 8 hours of work.
