Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal (Price 135 INR for 4 gms)

If there is one thing I love almost as much as lipsticks, it is Kohl or Kajal and of all the costly kajals available in the market, Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal has been my best friend for a few years now. It is conventional, looks like a lipstick, easy on the pocket, and dark as hell: Just the way I love it! I have tried colossal, kajal magique, eyeconic but I never could make do with the twist-up pencils. I always tend to break the tip when I am in a hurry (which is most of the time!) and end up finishing those before soon. Also considering the amount of kajal I wear that too on an everyday basis, I am never satisfied with 0.35-0.45 gms of product. Thus this 4 gms of bullet is my go-to stuff and I am already on my fourth bullet.

Product Claims– 100% natural kajal enriched with botanical extracts of camphor, liquorice and almond oil, which pamper and relax your eyes all day. Also helps in growth of eye lashes. Can be used daily.

Packaging – The lipstick is housed in a lipstick like casing that also swirls up like a lipstick. The only difference is that there is no long outer cap; instead there is a small transparent cap to fit the opening of the cylinder. The bottom part is black in colour and rest of the lipstick is shiny red colour. The brand name is embossed in gold over it. I quite like the look of it, and the shiny red surface always ensures that I find it amidst other stuff.

The only downside is, the kohl is packed in an inverted cone manner, and so as you continue using, the tip of the kohl gets blunter and thicker in the end. I would recommend using a thin pointy brush for application when this happens. It has a shelf life of 3 years.

Shade – It is available only in black colour.

Texture & Formula – Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal is creamy and soft on the eyes and while applying it glides without having to put even a little bit of pressure. Because of its smooth application, it can also be applied on the upper lid with ease.

Pigmentation & Finish – It is the blackest black I have seen till date! It is heavily pigmented and just a light swipe will give you the boldest eyes. The finish is smudge-proof, water-proof and sweat-proof to a fair extent.

Staying Power – The kajal stays for over 9-10 hours on me. I have not worn it longer than that. I did not need to reapply but I powder beneath my eyes after wearing the kajal. This makes it last longer and devoid of smudging too.

Overall Thoughts

I am in love with Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal as you can already tell. Even though a lot of you will find the packaging inconvenient as it gets blunt with every application, I still am ready to compromise on the packaging part so long the quality and quantity remains uncompromised.
