L’Oreal Youth Code Luminize Serum Review

L’Oreal Youth Code Luminize Serum (Rs 1499 for 30ml) from Flipkart.comL’Oreal Youth Code Luminize Serum is meant to “refine skin surface and reawaken a luminous complexion”.  Having used and loved the L’Oreal Youth code serum I decided to give this a shot to attack the pigmentation and blemishes that have been bothering me for a while.

Packaging –Like the L’Oreal Youth code serum, this one comes in a glass bottle.  However I like the fact that this one has a pump dispenser.  The bottle is silver in colour and translucent.  You aren’t really able to see how much serum is inside the bottle.

Texture – Youth Code Luminize Serum itself is pearly white in colour and has a fragrance similar to that of the L’Oreal Youth code serum.  There is a clear lustre to the serum itself, I’m guessing that is what helps in giving an immediate lustre to the face.

The consistency is a little thicker than a normal gel serum.  This feels more like a thin lotion rather than a serum.

When you apply this to your face the feeling is also a little bit heavier than the L’Oreal Youth code or any other serum.  I actually like this a lot since I don’t bother to apply a second layer of moisturizer or hydrating serum when I use this.  I just need one pump of this serum and I’m done – just need to layer on the sunblock later.My Experience

I have been using L’Oreal Youth Code Luminize Serum for about 3 weeks now and I definitely find that the serum makes my face glow immediately as I put it on.  I’m not sure this has to do with the actual change it is bringing about in the skin or the luster from the pearl like serum that is only temporary as long as you wear it.  Whichever way you look at it, I love the immediate pick me up that it gives.

I also find that it has started fading some of my stubborn blemishes – however they are still very much visible.  It is going to take a bit longer to get rid of them completely.

It also ticks all the other boxes for a great serum, it does not clog my pores or break me out, my skin feels soft and hydrated and well cared for.  My face looks like I’ve had a full nights’ rest, even when I haven’t.

Overall Thoughts 

L’Oreal Youth Code Luminize Serum is another little gem from L’Oreal Youth code range.  I am definitely going to keep using this – it works very well in conjunction with the other Youth Code Serum.  I just wish L’Oreal would roll in a new product that gives us the benefit of both in a single super serum.
