L’Oreal True Match Foundation (Rs 829) available at Flipkart
In search of my HG foundation !!! It takes almost forever to find a foundation which matches your skintone and works well. So this time I bought L’Oreal True Match Foundation even after reading mixed reviews.
SA was pretty helpful and suggested me to buy the new range “Infalliable”, but the shade she suggested looked a bit lighter to me. L’Oreal True Match Foundation has almost 10 shades available, giving buyer liberty and ease to choose the right shade. She matched 2 shades and applied each on each side of my face.
Golden Cappuccino was my exact match, but after oxidization, it looked dark.. I was very disappointed.
Coverage : It provides medium coverage. There is a scar on my nose and it was visible..
Staying Power : Average, It stayed on for 3 hours and then started fading away..
What I liked is the fact that it felt nice, I mean didn’t make my skin dry at all. The fact that it has medium coverage, it looks almost natural. But if you try to layer it/ build the coverage .. It starts looking cakey..
This is me with bare face.. Don’t laugh I did this at 6 am in the morning, as my daughter was sleeping and I didn’t want to loose the golden opportunity 😀
After applying a thin layer, almost pea size amount. I dabbed the foundation on all over my face and then patted it with my fingers, that gave me a good natural finish ..
I am happy with the coverage but the fact that it will get darker after an hour is horrible. Who wants to look like a ghost? + it looks ashy in flash photography .. WOW what else can a beauty blogger ask for :/
Overall Thoughts
If you are someone who like medium coverage foundation go for it.. But please make sure to choose a shade lighter than your current skintone. It might look odd initially but after half an hour it will match your skintone. This is going to be wonderful foundation for dry skin beauties.
