L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color Bella (Rs 499 for 6 ml) available at L’Oreal Counters

I could see only 6 shades of L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color on the counter and as per SA there are only 6 shades available (I doubt). I got 3 of them. Packaging is really pretty golden (almost) conical case with a doe foot applicator.
Shade – Bella is a beautiful coral pink shade with golden sheen. I can see the sheen only in the tube but not actually in the swatch , even if there is presence of shimmer, its barely detectable. This shade would look good on all skintones. One thing I have observed particularly with this shade, it tends to darken a lot and changes into almost berry pink color after 5 minutes of application. That was something I liked otherwise the color is too sheer.
Texture & Formula – L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color Bella feels like lip gloss, smooth and buttery. It glides on easily and doesn’t feel sticky. However after a while (5-10 minutes) color darkens and formula gets a bit sticky, but doesn’t feel uncomfortable. I wouldn’t exactly call it a lip color since its sheer like a lip gloss. Formula feels comfortable on dry lips and doesn’t loose its glossiness, though it does tone down a bit after sometime. I was surprised with the fact that throughout the wear lips don’t feel chapped or dry. Only downside is that the stain it leaves looks gross if you have chapped lips, a bit uneven.
Pigmentation – I would say L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color Bella is sheer when you apply it, and gets a bit dark after sometime. It provides sheer to medium coverage but if you have pigmented lips they would peek through it. Also color can look different on different people based on their natural lip color (pink or pigmented)
That’s how L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color Bella looks on me after 10 minutes of wear. I like the color a lot !
Staying Power – L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color Bella stays on for good 5-6 hours with meal in between. It doesn’t fade completely and leaves a strong stain behind.
Overall Thoughts
I really like the formula of L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color. Its not drying and even after wearing it for good 4+ hours it doesn’t accentuate dryness of lips. Formula is slightly sticky (gets sticky after sometime) but not uncomfortable. Like any other staining product it does settle into chapped areas/ gets uneven, so exfoliating lips or wearing L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color when lips are in perfect condition is recommended. I like the product and can’t wait to try other shades from this range.
