L’Oreal Rouge Allegro Extraordinaire Lip Color (Rs 950 for 3.3ml)

I am a person who prefers matte over glossy lip colors but I couldn’t resist these L’oreal Extraordinaire lipsticks.

Shade- This range has a variety of shades ranging from sheer to intense pigmentation .Rouge Allegro is a muted red, a cherry red or some would describe it as a pinkish red. The shade comes out differently on all skin tones. However, this shade is creamy and sans any shimmer.

Packaging- I totally adore the gold packaging. It looks and feels very luxurious. There is a shade band across the tube for easy identification of the shade. Also, shade indicator, shade name and number are provided at the bottom as well. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. It is easy to locate in the vanity as well. The applicator is great and easy to work out with. The sponge tip is slightly curved and flared for perfect application.

Texture & Formula- The lip color has a very liquid-y formula. It is creamy and very glossy. It is easy to apply without any tugging or pulling and the formula is great for those having dry lips. It is moisturizing and doesn’t accentuate lip lines. The glossy finish gives a slight illusion of plumped lips. L’oreal Extraordinaire Lipsticks have fruity-floral fragrance which I like. The formula is light weight and very comfortable on lips.

Pigmentation– Rouge Allegro is amazingly pigmented and great for those having pigmented lips. It can be sheered out or applied intensely as per need. One coat provides medium coverage which can be built up to full with a second coat. It doesn’t bleed. Also, when applied over a lip pencil, it stays amazingly.

Staying Power –  The lipstick provides a wear time of about 4-5 hours but it doesn’t leave a stain or tint behind. I have used 2 more shades from this range which are less intense but they also stay for about 4 hours.

Overall Thoughts

I am highly impressed with the overall performance and quality of the lipstick. The shade is great. L’Oreal Rouge Allegro Extraordinaire Lip Color brightens up my face and great for those who like Red but find it to be quite bold for using. Rouge Allegro is sans any shimmer and the formula is very creamy. I highly recommend trying this out.
