A good gel eyeliner that is black & long staying is every makeup lover’s dream ! I have used number of Gel eyeliners in the past and couple of them are my all time favourites including the one I am reviewing today – L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Eyeliner Black 01.

Shade – L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Eyeliner Black 01 is a get black formula. I love matte liners since they look more intense on eyes. L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Eyeliner Brown is also a great shade for Indian skintone, especially for those who go to office and looking for a not-so-visible eyeliner.

A long-lasting waterproof eyeliner with an intense and bold colour result. The high-precision brush makes application easy and creates a perfectly smooth line. An ultra-quick drying effect creates a smudge-free, dramatic look that lasts up to 24 hours.

Texture & Formula – The texture of this gel eyeliner is creamy and smooth. It applies evenly without tugging or pulling, which is what impressed me the most since matte formula can be bit tough to work with sometimes. The formula is without any shimmer or shine and dries matte. It sets in no-time and doesn’t budge at all. Formula is waterproof and stays on for a long time no matter what.

Pigmentation – Its an intense black color with amazing pigmentation. All you need is one stroke and there is no need to go back and forth. Mine is almost 6 months old and will last me another couple of months.

Staying Power – L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Eyeliner Black 01 stays on for good 8-9 hours on me. After that I can observe some fading from the outer corner. If you have oily lids the lasting power might decrease.

Overall Thoughts

There are number of Black Gel Eyeliners available in the market, however choosing one that stays on for a long time can be a difficult task. L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Eyeliner Black 01 is a matte black eyeliner thats stays on for good 8-9 hours without fading or smudging. Only downside is the price which is quite steep for a drugstore brand.
